Ombre Powder Brows in Norwich
Powder brows create the effect of softly applied brow makeup using permanent makeup pigment implanted into the skin.
The result can be as subtle or as defined as you prefer, from a light airy finish through to a more polished makeup-style brow.
I tailor the shape, colour and level of saturation to your face, colouring, age, skin and how you normally wear your brows.
The characteristic ombre effect creates a softer front and gradually builds definition through the body and tail of the brow.

Who Are Powder Brows Suitable For?
Powder brows can work particularly well if you:

The finished result does not need to look heavy. Pigment colour and saturation can be adjusted considerably depending on the look we are trying to create.
What Do Ombre Powder Brows Look Like?
Ombre powder brows are designed to mimic the appearance of brow pencil or powder rather than individual hairstrokes.
The front of the brow is kept softer, with gradually increasing definition through the body and tail. I can also vary the saturation from the lower to upper edge so the finished brow does not look like one solid block of colour.
Fresh permanent makeup always appears darker and stronger immediately after treatment. As the skin heals, the colour softens considerably and the finished result becomes more natural.
Already Have Permanent Brows You're Not Happy With?
If you already have permanent brows that are too dark, badly shaped, heavily saturated, significantly faded or no longer suit you, adding more pigment is not always the best solution.
Where appropriate, I also offer specialist PMU laser removal to fade or remove existing eyebrow pigment before redesigning the brows properly.
If the old pigment is light, well positioned and suitable to work with, I may be able to incorporate it into a new treatment. But if it is too strong, distorted or sitting outside the shape we want to create, removing or fading it first usually gives us a much better foundation.
Do Powder Brows Need a 4 to 6 Week Touch-Up?
I do not automatically include a routine 4 to 6 week touch-up with every new powder brow treatment.
My aim is to implant the pigment properly at the first appointment rather than deliberately under-treating the brows simply because another appointment has already been scheduled.
Once healed, some clients are completely happy and need nothing further.
If you would like a small alteration after healing, such as slightly more length, depth or definition, an optional adjustment appointment is available for £25 to £50, depending on what is required.
What Happens at Your Powder Brow Appointment?

CONSULTATION & PRE-DRAW
We discuss the result you want, your usual brow style, colour, skin and any existing permanent makeup.
I then carefully pre-draw the brows so we can agree the shape before any pigment is implanted.
I do not begin the treatment until you are happy with the design.

THE PROCEDURE
Allow around 2 hours for the complete appointment, including consultation and pre-draw.
Topical numbing products are used throughout to keep you as comfortable as possible.
Most clients find powder brows very manageable.
3.
AFTERCARE ADVICE
You will leave with clear aftercare instructions and everything you need to look after the brows while they heal.
The brows will initially appear darker and more defined before gradually softening as the skin recovers.

Will Powder Brows Look Too Dark?
Fresh brows are always darker and more defined immediately after treatment. They soften considerably as the skin heals.
Are Powder Brows Suitable for Mature Skin?
Yes, and powder techniques can be particularly useful where hairstroke techniques may not heal predictably. The colour and saturation can be softened considerably for a more subtle result.
How Long Do Powder Brows Last?
Permanent makeup fades gradually over time. Longevity varies considerably depending on skin, pigment, lifestyle, sun exposure and individual healing.
Many clients choose a colour boost when the brows have faded enough that they want the definition restored, rather than automatically refreshing them at a fixed interval.
Can You Work Over Existing Permanent Makeup?
Sometimes.
If existing pigment is light, well positioned and suitable to work with, it may be possible. Saturated, badly shaped or significantly discoloured pigment may need fading or laser removal first.
Do I Need a Separate Consultation?
No. Consultation and pre-draw are completed at the beginning of your treatment appointment.
