B12 Injections Norwich | Free Vitamin C Included

Choice of 1,500 mcg Hydroxocobalamin or 2,500 mcg Methylcobalamin B12, plus 500 mg Vitamin C FREE

Looking for B12 injections in Norwich?

At Alison Mary Aesthetics in Taverham, every £28 Vitamin B12 appointment includes a separate 500mg Vitamin C injection completely FREE.

I stock two forms of high-strength Vitamin B12: methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin.

They are both forms of B12, but they are not identical, and I think clients should know what they are actually being given rather than simply being told they are having “a B12 shot”.

Your B12 and Vitamin C are given as two separate intramuscular injections into the upper arm.

Appointments are quick, straightforward and, aside from the brief pinprick as the needle enters the skin, most clients find the injections themselves extremely comfortable.

B12 Isn't Just B12: Methylcobalamin vs Hydroxocobalamin

There are several forms of Vitamin B12, and the two I offer are methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin.

Both provide Vitamin B12, but they behave slightly differently in the body.

B12 shots for energy and immunity Taverham

Methylcobalamin B12 | 2,500 mcg

Methylcobalamin is one of the biologically active coenzyme forms of Vitamin B12.

It participates directly in the methionine synthase pathway, where B12 is involved in homocysteine metabolism and the regeneration of methionine.

Methionine is then used to produce S-adenosylmethionine, or SAM, an important methyl donor used in numerous biochemical reactions involving DNA, proteins and other cellular molecules.

The methylcobalamin B12 I use provides 2,500 mcg per injection.

Hydroxocobalamin B12 | 1,500 mcg

Hydroxocobalamin is another form of Vitamin B12.

Rather than being one of the two main active intracellular coenzyme forms itself, it is converted by the body into the active B12 forms it requires.

Hydroxocobalamin is also known for good retention within the body.

The hydroxocobalamin B12 I use provides 1,500 mcg per injection.

So Which B12 Should I Choose?

There is no good evidence that one form is universally superior for everybody.

Some clients specifically prefer methylcobalamin, while others prefer hydroxocobalamin.

If you already know which you want, simply tell me.

If you do not, I am happy to explain the difference at your appointment so you actually know what you are receiving rather than simply being given an unspecified “B12 shot”.

Why Do I Include 500mg Vitamin C?

Every B12 appointment includes a separate 500mg Vitamin C injection at no additional charge.

Vitamin C has several well-established physiological roles of its own.

It contributes to:

  • normal immune-system function

  • normal energy-yielding metabolism

  • normal collagen formation

  • protection of cells from oxidative stress

  • reduction of tiredness and fatigue

  • increased iron absorption

So rather than charging separately for B12 and Vitamin C, I simply include 500mg Vitamin C with every B12 appointment.

1 B12 injection + 1 separate 500mg Vitamin C injection = £28 total

What Does Vitamin B12 Actually Do?

Vitamin B12 is essential for several normal processes within the body. It contributes to:

  • normal red blood cell formation

  • normal nervous-system function

  • normal energy-yielding metabolism

  • normal homocysteine metabolism

  • normal psychological function

  • normal immune-system function

  • reduction of tiredness and fatigue

B12 is also required for DNA synthesis and normal neurological function.

That explains why B12 is so often associated with energy and general wellbeing.

Its role is much more fundamental: B12 is involved in the biochemical processes that allow cells, red blood cells and the nervous system to function normally.

What Happens at a B12 Injection Appointment?

Before Your Appointment:

You will complete the relevant medical information before treatment. There is no need to fast and you can eat and drink normally beforehand. Wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm.

Choose Your B12:

If you already know whether you prefer methylcobalamin or hydroxocobalamin, just let me know.

If you are unsure, I can explain the difference between the two before we start.

Your B12 Injection:

Your chosen B12 is administered intramuscularly into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. The actual injection takes only a few seconds. Aside from the brief pinprick as the needle enters the skin, most clients find the injection itself very comfortable.

Your FREE 500mg Vitamin C Injection:

Your complimentary 500mg Vitamin C is then administered separately, also intramuscularly.

The B12 and Vitamin C are not mixed together in the same syringe. Again, aside from the needle entering the skin, clients generally find the Vitamin C injection itself very comfortable.

Afterwards:

You can return to normal activities immediately.

Occasional local tenderness, redness or bruising can occur following any injection.

How Often Should I Have a B12 Injection?

There is no single wellness schedule that everybody needs to follow.

Vitamin B12 can be stored within the body, so it does not behave like a stimulant that simply “wears off” after a fixed number of days.

For general wellness supplementation, I usually recommend starting with one appointment rather than automatically committing to a course.

Some clients then choose to book occasionally, while others prefer a more regular routine such as approximately monthly.

There is no requirement to have B12 every month simply because you have had it once.

How often somebody chooses to supplement can depend on their diet, existing B12 status, the form of B12 being used and why they are supplementing in the first place.

Does Methylcobalamin or Hydroxocobalamin Affect Frequency?

The two forms do behave differently.

Hydroxocobalamin is known for good retention within the body and is converted into the active forms of B12 the body requires.

Methylcobalamin is already one of the metabolically active forms of B12.

That does not mean there is one fixed interval for methylcobalamin and another fixed interval for hydroxocobalamin.

For general wellness use, frequency is still individual rather than dictated purely by which form you choose.

Why Choose Alison Mary for B12 Injections in Norwich?

A Vitamin B12 injection only takes a few seconds to administer.

Understanding what you are administering takes considerably longer.

I have spent time researching Vitamin B12, the different cobalamin forms, their biochemistry, the role of Vitamin C and the differences between general supplementation and genuine deficiency.

That is why I stock both 1,500 mcg hydroxocobalamin and 2,500 mcg methylcobalamin, rather than simply offering an unspecified “B12 shot”.

If you ask me what you are having, why there is more than one form of B12 or what the vitamins actually do, I want to be able to give you a sensible answer.

You do not need to know the science yourself, but I think the person administering your vitamins should.

My core B12 appointment remains deliberately simple:

your choice of high-strength B12 + a separate 500mg Vitamin C injection FREE for £28.

Private clinic, straightforward online booking and no confusing collection of differently named “energy”, “immunity” or “super boost” packages.

Know what you're having. Know how much you're having. Know why you're having it.

B12 Injection FAQs

How much is a B12 injection in Norwich?

A single B12 wellness appointment at Alison Mary Aesthetics is £28.

You can choose either 1,500 mcg hydroxocobalamin or 2,500 mcg methylcobalamin, and every B12 appointment includes a separate 500mg Vitamin C injection completely FREE.

What is the difference between methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin?

Methylcobalamin is one of the metabolically active forms of Vitamin B12.

Hydroxocobalamin is converted by the body into the active B12 forms it requires and is known for good retention within the body.

Neither is automatically the best option for everybody, which is why I offer both.

If you are unsure which you prefer, I can explain the difference before your injection.

Which B12 do you use?

I offer both: 1,500 mcg Hydroxocobalamin and 2,500 mcg Methylcobalamin.

You can choose which you would prefer at your appointment, or if you are unsure, I can help you decide.

How often should I have a B12 injection?

There is no universal wellness interval.

I generally recommend starting with one appointment rather than automatically committing to a course.

Some clients choose occasional supplementation, while others prefer a more regular routine such as approximately monthly.

If you have diagnosed Vitamin B12 deficiency, follow the clinical treatment schedule you have been given.

Why is Vitamin C included?

Vitamin C has important physiological roles in collagen formation, antioxidant protection, immune function, carnitine synthesis and iron absorption.

I include a separate 500mg Vitamin C injection completely FREE with every B12 appointment.

Are B12 and Vitamin C mixed together?

No.

Your B12 and 500mg Vitamin C are given as two separate intramuscular injections during the same appointment.

Where are the injections given?

Both the B12 and Vitamin C injections are administered intramuscularly into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm.

Can B12 help with tiredness?

Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

That does not mean every case of tiredness is caused by low B12, because fatigue can have many different causes.

Do B12 and Vitamin C injections hurt?

There is a brief pinprick as the needle enters the skin.

Beyond that, most clients find both injections very comfortable.

Are B12 injections better than tablets?

Not automatically.

Oral B12 can be perfectly appropriate for many people.

An intramuscular injection bypasses the gastrointestinal route and is convenient for clients who prefer an occasional appointment rather than remembering a daily supplement.

Can I have B12 and Biotin at the same appointment?

Yes, where appropriate.

B12 and Biotin can be booked during the same visit.
